Niitsitapi Pre-Practical Nurse Program

Practical Nurses provide essential care, support, and comfort to patients, in a variety of health care settings, making them vital members of the health-care team.
The single semester Niitsitapi Pre-Practical Nurse (NPPN) Program will provide a structured and supportive pathway to enter a Practical Nurse Education Program.
NPPN is a First Nation-infused program, that incorporates the Blackfoot language, culture, and traditions into the delivery.
Length: 1 Semester
Admission Requirements:
English Language Arts – one of the following, or an equivalent course
o Minimum final mark of 60% in English 30-1
o Minimum final mark of 70% in English 30-2
Mathematics – one of the following, or an equivalent course
o Minimum final mark of 60% in Math 20-1
o Minimum final mark of 70% in Math 20-2
o Minimum final mark of 50% in Math 30-1
o Minimum final mark of 60% in Math 30-2
Biology – one of the following, or an equivalent course
o Minimum final mark of 60% in Biology 30
