Red Crow Community College is a First Nations college with locations in Standoff and Lethbridge. Our mission is to meet the cultural, educational, and training needs for Kainaiwa and beyond. The college provides leadership through its programs and service to nurture self-realization based on Kainayssinni.

We are currently seeking a Day Care Manager to work as part of the Niitsitapi Day Care Program that reports to the VP of Academics.

The Manager oversees the program’s operation to ensure a safe, respectful, and stimulating environment by liaising with students, instructors, staff, board members, elders, licensing bodies and community agencies.

They are conscientious, approachable, helpful, and work in a team setting and proficient in leadership skills. In addition, the Manager must be reliable, trustworthy and maintain confidentiality in all areas. The Manager will have demonstrable experience in managing all aspects of a day care. This includes but is not limited to supervising and training staff, coordinating schedules, assisting with recruitment activities, and adhering to health inspections. The incumbent must deliver services with respect and understanding of Blackfoot culture by participating in activities that promote Kainayssinni.

A level 3 certificate and an Early Childcare Diploma are required, with at least 5 years of experience. Must possess a strong knowledge of Alberta childcare licensing regulations. A working knowledge of the Blackfoot language and an understanding of First Nations culture is an asset. All employees are required to complete sensitivity training on Blackfoot culture.

The start date is immediate and offers a competitive salary with benefits.
