Red Crow Community College is a First Nations college with locations in Standoff and Lethbridge. Our mission is to meet the cultural, educational, and training needs for Kainaiwa and beyond. The college provides leadership through its programs and service to nurture self-realization based on Kainaissinni.

We are currently seeking a Writing Centre Coordinator to work as part of the academic team. This role contributes to student success by providing tools and support to the student for building writing skills and competence that will assist with their academic journey.

The Coordinator oversees the Centre operations and provides support to Centre users. The Coordinator has highly developed competence in academic writing skills and understands how to develop these skills in others. They use a variety of mediums to build writing competence, including workshops, meetings, presentations, and publication of resources. They are personable, helpful and can work effectively with individuals or in a team environment. The Coordinator should be familiar with a post-secondary environment, communicate clearly in speech and writing, and deliver services with respect and understanding of Blackfoot culture by participating in activities that promote Kainaissinni.

A degree in Education, English, or related discipline, preferably at the Masters level, is required. A working knowledge of Blackfoot language and an understanding of Blackfoot culture is an asset. Experience working in a First Nations adult education setting is required, with preference given to candidates that have demonstrated achievements in teaching or academic administration.
