Siksikaitsitapi-focus-led agricultural education and to encourage Blackfoot community members to engage in agricultural production.
Centered around Siksikaitsitapi heritage, where we connect the Blackfoot community's rich history with modern initiatives like the Nitsitaapi Agriculture program and Red Crow College-based education. Our goals include:
- Fostering Indigenous-led agricultural education for future employment and income opportunities while enhancing food supply and security.
- Promoting Agribusiness and land economy within the reserve.
- Cultivating partnerships with industry experts to enrich Red Crow Community College's agriculture program.
- Introducing innovative strategies like seed collection and drought protection for progressive Indigenous agricultural systems.
Featuring speakers from various First Nations, academia, conservationists, and producers, this conference offers a platform for sharing ideas and practices while providing support to the Blackfoot Confederacy.
